About

The website's logo: a simple cartoon brain outline with a puzzle piece missing from it

I’ve built several web pages over the past couple years now through BZ Tech Solutions and I felt it time to build a little site just for me and my thoughts. Simple and light: no focus on search engine optimization or flashy visuals; just a place to put a part of me.

Who am I?

I’m Zachary Burkey, although you’ve likely see my name all over the site. I’m one of those people that always ponders over how the world works and gets overly enthusiastic learning about such. From game design to animation; politics to philosophy; as of late computers and web design; I’ve been itching for a place just to put my mind and express myself where I wasn’t bound by the confines of typical online platforms.

I started designing web sites in high school, not long after I began to learn to actually appreciate computers in animation class, but the hobby eventually fell on the back burner once college and adulthood began to take priority. Some time after while working for a small flooring company, I offered to update the website and clean things up. Our IT department noticed my work and asked if I could build their site, and before long I started having others ask for my service.

What all do I Write About?

Excellent question! I’m still largely figuring that out myself. My key fascination as of late has definitely leaned towards computers and philosophy. This also serves as a great link handler for what socials I have as well as a for all the websites and projects I support and want to push. Not to mention, it’ll be a great place to catalog times and adventures with friends since I never post things elsewhere.
